In 1965, The Beatles second film ‘Help!’ premiered in London. Directed by Richard Lester, the movie is a satirical take on the popular ‘James Bond’ movies. The movie was enjoyed well by critics, but didn’t totally live up to the success of ‘A Hard Days Night.’
Beatle fact:
The Beatles preformed on The Ed Sullivan Show to a television audience of 73 million, the highest at that time.

He met his first wife, hairdresser Maureen Cox, at the Cavern Club in Liverpool. They married in 1965 and had three children, Zak, Jason and Lee. The couple divorced in 1975.
In 1980, he met his second wife, actress Barbara Bach, on the set of Caveman. The two were married in 1981.

Today is a sad day in music history. On this day in 1969, Rolling Stones member Brian Jones passed away from accidental drowning. On this day in 1971, Doors lead singer Jim Morrison passed away from overdose. Both died at the terribly young age of 27.
